Self-defence Workshop
Our first ever event, the 3R Self-defence Workshop on 19 November 2000, was a huge success! About 200 women kicked, punched, grabbed and twisted their way through the workshop at Federal Hotel, alongside our feisty Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir and facilitator Azalina Othman. After the workout, we all had lunch at the revolving restaurant atop the hotel and then we were treated to a screening of girl-power movie Girlfight. Fun day!

Kotex Workshops
PERIODS!! "Becoming a woman" is a Very Big Deal and not always easy, but ten girls' schools in the Klang Valley were lucky enough to have Yuen and Rafidah talk to them on this and other feminine matters. The workshops, in July and August 2001, also had a short self-defence component where the girls learnt some basic techniques for protection. Not fair?! You want to meet us too?! 6th ICAAP in Melbourne
Our jet-setting hosts, Rafidah, Yuen and Azah go Down Under to attend the 6th International Congress on AIDS in Asia and the Pacific on 5 to 10 October, 2001. Among other things, the girls talked to HIV+ youths, participated in the drafting of the Youth Charter on AIDS, and learned how to make AIDS information interesting and accessible. They also had loads of fun meeting with participants from countries all over the region! Watch out for this special Australian episode in the coming 4th season of 3R!
