The theme for 3R's International Women's Day (IWD) events this year - It begins with respect, is a reminder to all women and men that a safe environment begins with having self respect and respect for others. This year's IWD message calls out to Malaysian citizens to help Stop Violence against Women by embracing the responsibility of demanding safety for women in their environments.
3R continues its commitment to NGOs focused on women's issues: Women's Aid Organisation (WAO), All Women's Action Malaysia (AWAM), Amnesty International (AI), Sisters in Islam (SIS) and Malaysian AIDS Council (MAC). The month-long women empowering and safety awareness events are activity-based and targeted at young women between the ages of 16-29 years.

A Special Hari Raya Episode with 3R (RESPECT, RELAX, RESPOND)
3R Hari Raya Special "RIANG RIA RAYA" airs on 30 November 2003
A Special Hari Raya episode from 3R (Respect, Relax, Respond) a popular infotainment TV series will be screened on Sunday, November 30th 2003 on TV3 at 7:30pm. This half hour Hari Raya Special titled "3R : Riang Ria Raya" features 3R's hosts Azah, Yuen and Kartini and ex 3R host Rafidah in her first starring role since she left 3R a year ago to pursue her studies in the United Kingdom. The show will also feature special celebrity guests Dato Rahim Razali, Bernice Chauly and Zul Yahya.
Synopsis
This story centres on three friends, Nora (Azah), TJ (Kartini) and Sam (Yuen) on the last day of Ramadan. Nora finds herself having to defend her decision to spend Raya at the office, finishing up a backlog of work, instead of going to Australia with her parents to celebrate Aidilfitri with her brother and sister-in-law. Needless to say, her choice causes much consternation, not only to her parents but also her colleagues who cannot imagine why anyone would voluntarily work during Raya. But is this really what Nora wants?
TJ, meanwhile, is in a dilemma as she has to choose which of her divorced parents to spend this festive occasion with - her mother, who brought her up, or her father, who rarely gets to see her during Raya. Though she initially wishes that they would leave her alone, TJ finally comes up with the perfect solution to her Raya problem…Finally, Sam, who has been getting into the spirit of the season by diligently fasting, finds that she still has a long way to go before she fully understands the meaning of puasa and Hari Raya.
Will the girls have a good Raya celebration after all?

Juggling between family and career, dealing with the impact of broken homes, and trying to understand other people's beliefs with sensitivity and respect, these are the issues confronting many young Malaysians and this episode tackles those issues with empathy and humour.

The 3R Survival Series workshops will equip young women with skills and knowledge when they go out into the real world. The workshop will be a character-building programme, an added advantage to students after graduation. 3R Survival Series aims to help prepare college graduates mentally and physically as they venture outside of college life into a workforce environment.
