Selangor, March 19, 2006 – The 3R-UNICEF All Women Futsal Playoffs 2006 kicked off in earnest today, with the best and up and coming female futsal players from Klang Valley and even from northern and southern states coming together to compete at the Sports Planet futsal pitch in Sunway, Selangor.
Preliminaries rounds were held and teams (for Open Category & School Category) who qualify for the 3R-UNICEF All Women Futsal Playoffs 2006 Grand Finals stand the chance to win cash prize of RM2000.00 and RM800 .00 respectively.
This all women tournament saw a total of fifty six female teams for the Open Category and twelve school teams (SMK Taman Petaling; 2 teams, Sri Kuala Lumpur; 1 team, Bukit Bandaraya; 2 teams, SMK Sri Aman; 2 teams, SMK Assunta; 2 teams and SMK Taman Tun Dr Ismail; 2 teams) for the School Category.
